camera operator trick:
o  When using with a camera that features a flip-out LCD screen, consider wearing a pair of reading glasses.  Their close-up focal point snaps the LCD screen into sharp focus while allowing you to see your environment outside the lenses in focus as well.  I use a pair (okay, I need a pair) with 1/2" high lenses that store in a handy travel tube.

o  Professional cameras, unlike most pro-sumer cameras, are designed so an equal part of the camera rests behind the shoulder as well as in front.  By balancing the camera mass on top of the shoulder, you reduce the fatigue of holding the lens up from the front.  When using a pro-sumer camera, consider adding some weight to the back of the shoulder brace to ease operating fatigue.
