Hi-hi Roller Stand

day-rate

Roller Stands or Overhead Stands are designed for flying Butterflies and Overheads on locations and supporting large backdrops.  They may also be used to raise lights to twenty feet.

features:
footprint - 60"
min. height - 84" (7')
max. height - 249" (20.75')
load capacity - 88 lbs.
o  Junior receiver for mounting lights with Junior pins
o  4" gobo head for securing overhead ears and other grippery
o  rocky-mountain leg for non-level terrain
o  loop for "guy wire" tie-downs

grip tips for all stands:
As a general rule, use two sandbags for each riser section in use.

When using this stand outdoors, secure it by stretching "guy wires" of rope from the top of the stand to ground stakes. This effectively expands the area of the tripod base.  Lock and chock the wheels to prevent base movement.

Don't "float" a power cable above the ground. It should hang all the way to a loop at the base of the stand then run across the floor without passing under a leg. If the cable is too short to reach the power source without floating, add an extension.

Keep several loops of cable at the base of the stand. This allows for future positioning and prevents damage should someone trip on the cable.  When adjusting/moving the stand, the coiled cable should pay out from the top of the coil.

Add a Junior receiver -to- Baby pin adapter to mount any light with a Baby mount.

Add a 40" grip arm and 4x4 silk to the stand's gobo head to provide on-stand diffusion.  Be sure to add extra weight or guy lines - especially when outdoors!

lightweight "kit" stand

day-rate

straight talk:
This stand is excellent for "backpacking" to remote locations. But, it is only designed to support small instruments like the Lowel series of lights. Do not depend on this stand to hold anything larger than a Mole Baby. Consider the Baby light stand (above) for larger instruments.

This stand comes with either a Baby 5/8" pin or still-photo pin.

Backlight stand

o  very low-height stand with baby pin
o  height - 3.5 inches
o  light-weight and collapsible
